In early 2553, forces led by the San'Shyuum Prelate Tem'Bhetek ambushed the Swords of Sanghelios CAS-class assault carrier Shadow of Intent over the Sangheili colony of Duraan. Using the system's unstable star to an advantage, 'Bhetek's Jiralhanae troops, operating from the CRS-class light cruiser Spear of Light, boarded Shadow of Intent. The boarders were ultimately defeated by the carrier's crew, while 'Bhetek was taken prisoner.[1]
