West Africa[edit]

Where did this part come from? It's not in Rebirth from what I can tell, and references throughout the Forerunner books could place the city anywhere from Africa to Mesopotamia depending on the interpretation. --Tacitus (talk) 09:38, 29 August 2018 (EDT)

Yes, it is. Rebirth tells us Marontik was located "not to far" from where the portal to the Ark was built. We are also told in Cryptum that it sits near the planet's equator.TheEld (talk) 10:05, 29 August 2018 (EDT)TheEld

Fair enough (though "not too far" could always be relative), but in that case, wouldn't it be more logical to assume it's located in the Eastern, rather than Western, side of the continent? --Tacitus (talk) 04:12, 8 September 2018 (EDT)
