John's mother gave birth to her son in Elysium City, Eridanus II in 2511. She lived there with her son and husband. They were a relatively normal family; she was kind to her son and smelled like soap.[2] She had her son attend school at Elysium City Primary Education Facility Number 119. She also let her son play with his friends Parisa and Ellie Bloom. When John was six years old, he was abducted by the Office of Naval Intelligence and replaced with a flash clone without his mother's knowledge.
