UNSC Hannibal was a Marathon-class cruiser in service with the UNSC Navy.[1]
Operational history
In 2552, Hannibal, along with many of the UNSC's finest ships, saw action and was destroyed during the Battle of Reach. The ship, along with all the lives of its crew were lost. In the aftermath of the Battle of Reach the Covenant began moving the wreckage of the Hannibal, and the rest of the UNSC fleet into a concentrated region of space in a high stationary orbit over Reach's northern pole.[5]
Trivia
The ship was likely named after the ancient Carthaginian military leader, Hannibal.
