:::The numbers may not be timestamps as we understand them... They seem to correspond to specific log entries, categorized chronologically, with 343GS assigning each subsequent event to the Log Entry that corresponds with a certain set of criteria, starting with the moment when "343 Guilty Spark" was split off Chakas' original Ancilla matrix to become a Monitor for one of the Installations in the Array. Terminal 2 seems to indicate that he'd been operating in this capacity for about 3 years prior to being assigned to Installation 04. Based upon this criteria, Terminals 1,4 and 9 may be listed under the same Log Entry because Spark had determined that they share certain identical characteristics. Perhaps this Entry corresponds to events associated with "Sentient Proximity Warning" situations, or (queue conspiracy music) perhaps Spark found sufficient similarities between the crashed vessel & the Pillar of Autumn to group them together under the same log entry (Maybe they were both Human-made & Spark assumed that whoever accessed the Terminals would know that...Or maybe it's just because they both contained the same atmosphere & crashed into the Halo) Terminal 3's Log Entry might denote his first contact with the Covenant, via the T&R's "Dumb" AI, which would explain why it was similar to the Log Entries for Terminals 10 and 11. Terminals 5 and 6 seem to relate to the alien vessel, post-impact. Terminal 7 is a little weird, probably because Spark was beginning to go Rampant during that Log Entry. Terminal 8 seems to contain random thoughts and musings that he recorded during one of his trillions of simulated firings of the Array. Numbers
Anyone know what the set of numbers at the start of the terminals are? I was thinking the date the cinematic takes place. Too many sets of numbers though. File:Colonel Grade One.pngCol. Snipes450File:Colonel Grade One.png 20:31, 15 November 2011 (EST)
They are for something on Waypoint. ArchedThunder 20:08, 16 November 2011 (EST)
There is another terminal, an 11th terminal. On the console waypoint, on the navigation menu, press X then you'll be prompted a code menu. Input the symbols at the end of the terminals. When you have prompted all of the symbols, the 11th terminal should appear. Erickyboo 23:06, 16 November 2011 (EST)

Those are for the five-character codes at each terminal's end. He was asking about the numbers at each terminal's beginning. -Kronos101 22:43, 19 November 2011 (EST)
- They don't seem to be linear, and there isn't an approximately 100,000 year difference between terminal 2 and Terminals 1; 3 and 10.-- Forerunner 13:29, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- At first I thought they were a date or something, but then I realized the same thing Forerunner, some of these take place weeks or at the most a month or so apart. File:Colonel Grade One.pngCol. Snipes450File:Colonel Grade One.png 14:24, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- The numbers may not be timestamps as we understand them... Jackal Heretics
The trivia notes that Jackals are depicted in Terminal 11, while not being encountered at all in Halo 2 with the Heretics. Could it be possible (as a point of discussion, I know there's next to nothing backing it up,) that the Jackals were entirely punished and slain for attacking 343?Ocean Soul (talk) 18:35, 10 October 2013 (EDT)
Difficulty, Co-Op
Has anybody confirmed if the Terminals can be viewed on Easy difficulty, or on co-op?--CaptainRaspberry 14:27, 18 November 2011 (EST)
- I've done it on co-op, but I can't confirm Easy difficulty --Am I a Lion, or a Lamb? Or a Boy? Saint or Sinner? The Lost Books 19:40, 18 November 2011 (EST)

Ascendant Justice?
At 0:28 in on Terminal 11, you can see the outline of a CSO-class supercarrier on the right side of the screen just below the Installation's wreckage and just above the Chief's Longsword when Spark scans the wreckage and first notices the Threshold gas mine. Is this the Ascendant Justice?--MoB 5150 21:10, 19 November 2011 (EST)

A poster on HBO said that the code apparently only works on the Xbox, and that it leads to a 5-second "signal lost" clip. I'm still skeptical; could anyone check this? -Kronos101 18:26, 22 November 2011 (EST)
- Tried it on the Xbox a 3rd and 4th time. Didn't work... again. I think we can safely put this one to bed. It's not real. Parasite, your name is appropriate.-- Rusty UserWiki:Rusty-112|- 112 ]] 18:35, 22 November 2011 (EST)
I'm getting reports saying they 'locked' the terminal. What does that mean? Also: http://the99thdoctor.deviantart.com/art/12th-Terminal-Proof-270454675 ArchedParasite 23:30, 22 November 2011 (EST)
- If they locked it then that means you don't have access, or it's not real, like stated before.--Commander 光环的家伙1234 Talk (Contribs) (Edits) 01:31, 23 November 2011 (EST)

- Proper NeoGAF link: [1] Best egg still hasn't been found yet... Not terminals, very different? Damn. -Kronos101 19:40, 1 December 2011 (EST)
- Actually, the conversation in that forum went more like this (Paraphrased, of course):
- Frankie: "Red Herring"
- person a: "So best egg still hasnt been found yet?"
- Frankie: "Correct. As far as I know, anyway."
- person b: "Better than extra Terminals?"
- Frankie: "No. Just very different."
- So, based on that, it doesn't necessarily mean this "best Easter Egg" isn't related to the Terminals but, rather, that it isn't BETTER than an extra terminal... Just different. I think that the Numbers may hold the key to this Easter Egg... I admittedly made light of it over on the Halo CEA Terminals talk page, but the more I think about it, the more I believe that it is highly significant that 343GS logged his encounters with the Pillar of Autumn and Jacob Keyes (Terminals 1 and 9) under the exact same log entry # as his first contact with the crashed vessel(Terminal 4).
- The only other time that the Numbers match up exactly are on Terminals 5 and 6, and that's because those terminals deal with a single subject: Quarantining the crashed vessel.
- Each set of numbers could be viewed as a timestamp for a new log entry, prompted by a certain event (ship crashing, assignment to Installation 04, test firing of the array, destruction of his ring, early stages of rampancy, etc) and any subsequent updates to that particular log entry would logically be filed under that same set of numbers.
- So why, then, did Sparky treat his encounter with the Pillar of Autumn & Jacob Keyes as an update to a log entry that originated some 55,000 years earlier?
- As for the 12th Terminal, all it revealed was a TV test pattern with a message at the bottom that went something like:
- For decades now, we have fought against an alien enemy that we can't comprehend. Completely unprovoked, they brought our very civilization to its knees, and forced us to go into hiding.
- This message obviously refers to Earth and the human race, their war with the Covenant and the enactment of the Cole Protocol. DJenser 18:03, 3 February 2012 (EST)
- Shouldn't this be mentioned in the artcile?98.24.14.97 09:51, 4 November 2012 (EST)
So, now what...?
I've watched all terminals and input all codes, before most people even figured it out, I might add. But, now what? What have we learned really? I know that it explains a lot of backstory into Halo CE/Anniversary and a bit about Halo 2, but what about Halo 4? What have we learned about Halo 4? These terminals were said to explain a little about it, but there doesn't appear to be much significant connection between the terminals and Halo 4.
I did notice one thing though, and that is that if the Prometheans should return, that the UNSC would almost prefer the Flood. It's not too significant, but it was something that jumped out at me, whatever 343GS meant by it. TheGutsyChipmunk 02:04, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- Keep in mind there are still two novels about Bornstellar/The Didact to be released, both most likely before H4, and if you read The Didact's talk page, it's pretty clear that some Forerunners including him survived. Almost fore sure. He will most likely be the main enemy of the humans in the new trilogy. I wrote a better summary somewhere else, but I'm not gonna dig it up. Alex T Snow 02:10, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- I know that, but what why would the Forerunners attack the humans? It just doesn't add up in my eyes... -- TheGutsyChipmunk 02:18, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- I assume you know about this? And we (kind of) brought the Flood back, and destroyed a lot of their stuff (Two Halos and The Ark), and The Mantle. I'd imagine they have about the same attitude Spark did in Terminal 10. Alex T Snow 03:17, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- I can understand where you are coming from, but the UNSC didn't really have much of a choice though. In both instances, they did it to eradicate the Flood. Also, 343GS was restricted by protocol, which he erratically chooses to follow and disobey. -- TheGutsyChipmunk 03:27, 29 November 2011 (EST)
Or they might be your allies, against that new foe. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 10:19, 29 November 2011 (EST)
If we would go to war with the Forerunners, or even the Precursors, we would get our ass kicked so hard. A single Forerunner Dreadnought (not even built for combat, mind you), was enough to devastate a Tier 2 civilization. So a fleets of Forerunner combat ships; versus 2 civilizations that just got out of a huge war, that are both practically destroyed. The Forerunners would kick ass. Vegerot goes RAWR! File:Icon-Vegito2.gif Vegerot (talk) 11:02, 29 November 2011 (EST)!
- Tier 3, actually. The Sangheili weren't at Tier 2 yet, and the San'Shyuum had to use hit-and-run tactics, implying the Dreadnought could be or was damaged at times. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 11:47, 29 November 2011 (EST)
They might be a little mad that John destroyed 3 Installations (04,04B,00) but neutralizing 2 separate Flood threats I think would earn humanity a pass, I think Tuckerscreator is right with the whole "allies against a new foe". I mean they only went to war with primitive humans because they were invading their territory. File:Colonel Grade One.pngCol. Snipes450File:Colonel Grade One.png 14:34, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- I only meant they might the enemies as a result of some misunderstanding, like how they thought the previous humans were just invading them, but they were actually trying to escape the Flood. Them being allies would make sense too though. I could see it working either way. Alex T Snow 17:03, 29 November 2011 (EST)
- My take on the Terminals was that, a.) there is an alien intelligence that knows about the Halo's, and that we didn't see them in Anniversary because they're going to appear in Halo 4; b.) it's setting the stage for more Didact/Librarian characterisation in the Greg Bear novels, and drumming up deserved interest for the Forerunner Saga; and c.) that it's insinuating that the Didact at least is still alive, and that he might not take too kindly to human vandalism. The Last Spartan meeting the Last Forerunner? Oh, to be a fly on the wall at that meeting. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 03:09, 2 December 2011 (EST)
- The other thing we learned, that they showed over and over, is that Spark had zero knowledge of anything that took place outside the ring. So when he said stuff like all the Forerunners died in Halo 2, that was an assumption, but we all heard it as fact. Alex T Snow 05:58, 3 December 2011 (EST)
There were like, what? Three seperate terminals all about this mysterious ship that crashed on the Halo in a time period where Humans were still fighting eachother with stone tools. They had an additional 40,000 years to grow in power and technology since then. They seem like they'd be a powerful enemy, as well as "ancient". This does indeed support what few teases we've gotten of Halo 4.
- "Set in the aftermath of Halo 3, Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Halo 4 marks the start of a new trilogy that begins with its release in 2012."
- — Official summary
On a side note, I belive the "Didact's plan" Spark refers to in Terminal 8 will be seen in one of the new books. For all we know, The Didact tried his plan at the last second and Spark didn't know about it because he was on the Halo. It may even be a plot point in Halo 4, since the Forerunner fleet made its last stand in the area that the Chief is drifting, but I doubt it. Anyways, this is an indirect connection to Halo 4 in that way because the books themselves have connections. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 10:40, 3 December 2011 (EST)

It appeared as if Spark was being split into fragments. Spark sounded concerned when he said "here it comes again." But I have no clue what Spark was referring to. Any thoughts? S.g.ali (talk) 13:25, 2 September 2013 (EDT)
Terminal Five
I'd save you the trouble and edit this myself, but I don't remember how to navigate tabbox extensions. Your info for Terminal Five is incorrect anyway. The elevator cannot be recalled to try the jump again. There is no elevator console at the top. Thought I'd comment here to prevent anyone else's time being wasted, thanks.—This unsigned comment was made by 77.99.77.240 (talk • contribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
- I assume you mean Terminal Six and made the necessary changes. The content is actually on the page Terminal/Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary/Six to avoid making a giant page. Thanks! —SPARTAN331 13:27, 2 April 2014 (EDT)
- Quite right, there is not an elevator button at the top. That's why if you jump and miss, you're on the bottom floor and can recall the elevator. It is also for Terminal 6. Ocean Soul (talk) 13:48, 2 April 2014 (EDT)
