Update
Are Patrollers even a thing anymore? I can't help but notice there are only 4, two of whom have not edited in well over a year. The page states they are selected on an "as-need" basis. I put forth that they are no longer needed. We already have administrators and rollbackers who fill this role. -- Rusty - 112 00:49, 11 September 2012 (EDT)
- Not sure if it is a "thing", but I see this usergroup as a necessary addition to the wiki's environment; they would take certain duties (i.e. deletion, removal, rename) of administrators whenever the administrators are not around.— subtank 01:23, 11 September 2012 (EDT)
- I agree with Subtank. However, we should probably demote the inactive Patrollers and add some new, responsible users to the group.--Spartacus, Halopedia Administrator Talk 13:54, 11 September 2012 (EDT)
Requests
Please request patroller rights here. This page is watched to ensure the quickest response possible. Remember that, to be granted patroller rights, the user must meet the requirements shown here. Users may comment on requests, but only admins may vote on them. Use the following format for requests:
==Request: [[User:USERNAME|USERNAME]]== '''Date''': Place the date of request here. '''Reason for request''': Place the reason here.
Request: Xamikaze330 (Passed)
Date: 06/29/14
Reason for request: Hey people, I'm a regular (daily) user here on Halopedia since March 20, 2011, with an edit count of 22,047. I'm a rollbacker here, and would like to request to become a Patroller here to help step in and assist with maintaining the wiki, and taking care of some of the workload when other admins/patrollers are occupied and unable to do so, like deleting images and image revisions, and having additional tools to assist in fighting vandalism. If there is a need for another Patroller, then may I humbly submit my candidacy. --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 14:32, 29 June 2014 (EDT)Xamikaze330
- Support - Responsible and trustworthy user, full support.--Spartacus Talk • Contribs 15:23, 29 June 2014 (EDT)
- Support -- Per the above, plus he's our go-to guy for images. --Our vengeance is at hand. (Talk to me.) 15:30, 29 June 2014 (EDT)
- Support -- Per above.--Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 15:34, 29 June 2014 (EDT)
Request is granted.--Spartacus Talk • Contribs 11:42, 2 July 2014 (EDT)
Request: Arcmind
Date: 03/1/17
Reason for request: Hello fellow Spartans, I am Arcmind, an admin over on Destinypedia where I help run, maintain and improve the wiki. Since things there have more or less begun to take shape, I'll have more time on my hands to help out here. I am on the wiki daily - though I tend to lurk around - and would be able to help with Vandalism and any other maintenance tasks that might require an extra set of hands. I am always willing to help out however I can, and can perform whatever tedious or otherwise difficult jobs normal editors might not have the tools or the time to do. So if you guys could use an errand guy, perhaps you might consider myself as a candidate for the program. Arcmind Execute long hold for reactivation. AI-COM/ACMD SIGNOFF 16:43, 1 March 2017 (EST)
