Holo-stills are holographic images which are essentially an evolution of framed photographs.[1]
Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson's aunt, Marcille Johnson, had many of the three-dimensional pictures in her house. Avery's favorite was one of Aunt Marcille standing on the shore of Lake Michigan in a honeybee-striped bathing suit and a wide straw hat. Another holo-still in the house depicted Avery as a young boy on his first day of church.[2]
