Development history

The Pioneer variant was manufactured and produced by Acheron Security. It was tested at Gdynia, Acheron Fossae on Mars.

Some tests was done on Anvil Station in 2555. Around that time Acheron Security staked the reputation of their Military Sensors Division on the Pioneer's advanced threat detection system. The Pioneer testbed was also the first of a new series of post-War reconnaissance and combat expedition Mjolnir variants.[1]

The Pioneer was developed as a result of the UEG's pioneer initiative in order to claim new territories for colonization. The Pioneer variant has been used in assisting in the security and protection of over two dozen field teams and science detachment.[2] The armor was first used during the first exploration efforts of Installation 03.[3] Pioneer-class armor is equipped by Spartans providing protection to ONI expeditionary groups.[3] It is intended primarily for reconnaissance operations in unknown or hostile environments.
