:Possibly. The pre-Halo 3 information could be explained in the "Production notes" section, and we don't even know if the construct in Origins is even canonically called a Guardian anymore, especially now that they've been established as something different in Halo 5. It wouldn't be the only time they used the likeness of concept art for something canonical that doesn't share the name or function of what it was originally going to be (Origins itself uses the E3 demo New Mombasa arcology to represent a Forerunner city). --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:42, 19 December 2015 (EST) |

- Visually similar to Brute Spikers. Plus the fact that no Forerunner technology has ever used projectile weaponry. -- Administrator Specops306 - Qur'a 'Morhek Honour Light Your Way! 12:24, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

"Guardian Sentinel"
Can someone who has The Art of Halo 3 verify whether the things are actually called "Guardian Sentinels"? The main image (a scan from OXM) only identifies it as a "Guardian". Twice. This article also doesn't mention the "Sentinel" part. I'm just wondering if some past editor took the liberty of adding in "Sentinel" based on an assumption that it is one. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 02:25, 17 December 2015 (EST)
- *raises personal copy of Art of Halo 3!*
- Anyhow, the concept art simply refers the construct as "Guardian". Revisiting the Guardian concepts again (will post some of the images soon), I think they may have been used as art references for the Guardians in Halo 5. This, however, is simply my speculation. I would propose changing the description from being part of the "Sentinel" group to a basic "Forerunner construct".— subtank 03:24, 19 December 2015 (EST)
- Agreed with the name change. Several other similarly named pages could perhaps be renamed to, such as Retriever Sentinel. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 10:44, 19 December 2015 (EST)
