The Type-58 Light Assault Gun Carriage, nicknamed the Wraith by the UNSC, is a light assault gun vehicle for ground engagements used by the Covenant remnants.[1]
Specifications
Design details
The Type-58 Light Assault Gun Carriage is the redesigned lighter and more nimble variant of the Type-26 Assault Gun Carriage. The Type-58 LAGC features a host of refinements and design elements that are of great interest to the Office of Naval Intelligence.[1] The T-58 Wraith is based off of ancient Sangheili designs that are cheaper and easier to manufacture.[2]
Operational history
The Type-58 LAGC was put into service after the end of the Human-Covenant War, with the Covenant remnants utilizing long-dormant manufacturing facilities to manufacture the new model. The Type-58 was used in multiple battles, including the Battle of Kamchatka and various battles in the Blooding Years.[1] Around the same time T-58 Wraiths became popular in War Games aboard the UNSC Infinity.[2]
