The M6H Personal Defense Weapon System is a handgun in service with the UNSC. It is part of Misriah Armory's widespread M6 series. The M6H was in service as an officer's model[1] as early as 2526[2][3] and was made the standard-issue sidearm of all UNSC personnel in 2555.[4]

Specifications

The M6H is a semi-automatic, recoil-operated, magazine-fed handgun. It is an up-sized model (17% larger than standard versions) with a smart-linked KFA-2 x2 scope and an electroless nickel finish.[1] It fires the M6 series' standard 12.7x40mm ammunition. The M6H is effective at reasonably long distances as well as its preferred close-to-medium-range.[4]

The M6H2 variant

The M6H2 variant had entered service by October 2558.[5] This variant sports a black polymer finish and a 12-round magazine. The M6H2 also boasts increased accuracy in comparison to the base model. It features a smoother slide design and a different top-mounted module (in place of the venerable KFA-2 x2) to support smart link functionality.

Gameplay

Changes from the M6G PDWS in Halo: Reach

  • Less damage, requires 6 headshots to kill rather than 5.
  • Higher accuracy/less bloom.

Changes from M6H in Halo 4 to M6H2 in Halo 5: Guardians

  • Increased magazine size to 12
  • Less bloom/greater accuracy
  • Can be smart scoped rather than utilizing hard-linked scope zoom.
  • More reserve ammunition
  • Increased damage, requiring 5 headshots or 7 bodyshots to kill.

Halo Online

In Halo Online the M6H comes in several variants.

  • The default M6H has an 8 round magazine and 40 rounds in maximum reserve ammo.
  • The M6C/SOCOM has a superior fire rate than the default M6H.
  • The DMG M6H does more damage than the standard MA5D at the cost of fire rate. It has a 6 round magazine and 18 rounds in maximum reserve ammo.
  • The ADV M6H is more accurate than the default M6H.
  • The golden M6H has superior stats all around. It has an 8 round magazine and 40 rounds in maximum reserve.
