The M820 Scorpion, commonly known as the Scorpion, is the United Nations Space Command's mainline armored mobile weapons platform in use after the Human-Covenant War.[1]
Specifications
Design details
The M820 Scorpion is the post-Covenant War successor to the M808 Scorpion. The new Scorpion has almost identical firepower and protection to its predecessor but has half the mass.[1]
Variants
ONI Scorpion
The ONI "security" Scorpion features heavy armor and has an upgraded canon utilizing experimental ammunition.
Urban Scorpion
A Scorpion variant featuring urban camouflage.
Operational history
The M820 Scorpion was put into service after the end of the Human-Covenant War, being used in multiple battles. By 2558 the Scorpion had become popular in War Games matches aboard the UNSC Infinity.[2]
