An unidentified species of deer-like animal was found on the Halo ringworld Installation 07.[1]

Overview

This species of animal, like all those found on the Halo Array, was collected and introduced to the Installation by the Forerunners.[1] Examples of this animal have been documented on Zeta Halo; it is unknown if they are found on other Installations.

These animals have been observed to be very docile. Physically, members of this species are small and are said to resemble Earth-native Deer. These animals can make a noise that sounds vaguely like a purr. They are known to be herbivores.[1]

In March 2552, Doctors Luther Mann and Henry Lamb encountered an individual animal of this species on Zeta Halo, which Mann befriended and named "Vanessa".[1]
