The DSC-class support ship is a type of support vessel used by the Covenant, and attached to their wandering fleets. These vessels are much smaller than a Covenant capital ship, and are not designed for combat. Rather, they are designed to provide fresh food for Covenant soldiers.[1] They contain large hunting preserves holding many types of animals, to be killed and fed to the personnel within the fleet. They also contain plants, though it is unknown whether they are used for food or not.[2]
They are primarily crewed by Huragok and Unggoy, with almost no Sangheili on board. They are occasionally commanded by a single Minor Prophet.[3]
