The destruction of Athens
Athens Station, Hull Classification Symbol ODA-144, was a UNSC Orbital Defense Platform in Earth orbit. It was so named because it held station above the city of Athens[1]. It was in the same battle cluster as Cairo Station and Malta Station.
During the First Battle of Earth, Athens was destroyed after Malta and in the same fashion: Covenant boarders placed an Covenant Bomb then withdrew prior to detonation.
After Athens and Malta were destroyed, the Prophet of Regret's assault carrier broke through the orbital defenses to the surface.
