Major General Nicolas Strauss is a high ranking UNSC Army[1] officer.

Biography

In 2552, he represented his service branch on the UNSC Security Council, which convened within HIGHCOM Facility Bravo-6 in Sydney, Australia on Earth. Strauss was present on the committee that debriefed lieutenant Wagner. He was shocked by the Covenant's massive fleet that had decimated the planet Reach.[2]

During the Battle of Earth, the city of Sydney was devastated by Covenant forces. However, Facility Bravo-6 was left unscathed and as such General Strauss survived.

Later in March of 2558, Strauss served once more on the Security Council committee along with Admiral Serin Osman, Admiral Terrence Hood, General Dellert, and General Hogan. They evaluated Captain Thomas Lasky's handling of the Second Battle of Requiem.[1]

Personality

He was apparently intimidated by Colonel James Ackerson for some reason, which is not yet known, though it is possible that Strauss knew about the SPARTAN-III project.[3]
