Template:Ship Class Infobox The Calypso-class exfiltration craft is a specialized type UNSC spacecraft used for off-planet extraction. The Calypso fulfills a purpose similar to Black Cat-class subprowler. Calypso-class exfiltration craft were in use in throughout the Human-Covenant War, most notably during Operation: PROMETHEUS in 2537.[1] In late 2552, a Calypso exfiltration craft was dispatched to transport ONI agent Connor Brien off a Covenant-occupied Beta Gabriel, where Brien had been observing a Jiralhanae pack.[2]

Trivia

In Greek mythology, Calypso was a daughter of Atlas who imprisoned Odysseus for seven years during his voyage home to Ithaca in Homer's epic, The Odyssey. This could a reference to the number seven.
