Kilo-Five was a highly covert intelligence unit under the supervision of Admiral Margaret Parangosky, the Director of Naval Intelligence. [1] Established in late January 2553, Kilo-Five's mission was to incite an insurrection between the various Sangheili factions left shattered after the Great Schism; one such organization were the Servants of Abiding Truth. [2] Due to the position of the civilian administration and High Command, specifically Fleet Admiral Hood, to pursue a peace treaty with Sanghelios, this unit and mission is not known to those outside the senior leadership of ONI. Kilo-Five was led in the field by Captain Serin Osman, an ONI operative, former SPARTAN-II and the "protege" of Admiral Parangosky.
During their operations, they manned the highly advanced corvette UNSC Port Stanley, refitted in the post-war months with Forerunner technology.
