The taratovire was a large animal, about fifty times the size of a Forerunner, that was alive c. 100,000 BCE.[1] The Librarian kept at least one in a stasis bubble at her home on Nomdagro. During the Council's search for evidence against her, many of her specimens were released which resulted in some being wounded or killed. When the Ur-Didact returned there from Uthera Midgeerrd he found a taratovire fatally wounded; it died shortly after his arrival.
