The Shineblade was a handheld energy weapon created and used by the Forerunners during the Forerunner-Flood War.[1]

Description

The Shineblade was a silver, claw-shaped device that generated a hard-light blade, capable of firing bolts of energy. When multiple weapons were used in conjunction, they could apparently combine their energy bolts to form a single large blade-like projectile that sliced through the air they were also warrior servant standard issue.

Trivia

The means of activating the weapon is remarkably similar to that of the Sangheili energy sword. It is possible that the weapon inspired the design of the energy sword, though the latter was adapted directly from the curveblade.
