Wondering this too. You would think for an article this old, there would have been some discussions over the lack of sources.

It may have been in the Halo 3 or Halo Reach weapon profiles. I do vaguely remember it being mentioned on one of them. Now that Bungie doesn't hold the Halo property, I imagine the original source doesn't exist anymore. -- Qura 'Morhek ^{The Autocrat} ^{of Morheka} 21:25, 8 November 2012 (EST)
