| On pg.66 of the EGM Sept. issue it talks about the metagame and scoring points

| that is where this is mentioned

| "...taking down a Brute by sticking it with a plasma grenade or taking down its shields with an overcharged plasma pistol will multiply the score..."

| The point being the shields part. Brutes in Halo 3 will have energy shields same as a spartan or elite. *maybe multiplayer character (complete speculation)*
