This song is largely influenced by songs of the Halo trilogy. The initial part of the song, Into the Breach, is a direct remix of The Gun Pointed at the Head of the Universe, from the Halo: Original Soundtrack and the second part, Becomes the Hunted, is a heavily remixed version of the Arbiter's Theme from Halo 2.

Become the Hunted (1:54) features heavy percussion with digital chimes in the background, soon joined by bass playing a fast melody. Male vocals sing the main melody from the piece Weight of Failure from (Prologue in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack), followed by variations. The piece ends abruptly with the percussion. A version with muted percussion plays later in All That Remains (from the later track The Light at the End). The piece plays when Buck enters New Mombasa Sector 8, where he encounters a large group of Covenant, including Kig-Yar Snipers and a pair of Mgalekgolo.

* The name More Than His Share refers to Buck, who has seen 25 years in service to the UNSC, and more than his share of war.
* The name Becomes the Hunted is derived from the phrase "the hunter has become the hunted", and alludes to Buck's encounter with Mgalekgolo in the gameplay section the piece plays in.
* The name Lost and Unfound is a play on the phrase "Lost and Found", which appeared in the ending cutscene of the level when Superintendent scans Veronica Dare's discarded helmet. The name likely alludes to both Dare missing from her pod and her helmet being lost in the Huragok's explosion. In both cases, they were "lost" until Rookie found them after he woke up.
