Biography[edit]
Battle of Harvest[edit]
- Main article: First Battle of Harvest
Ritul was a part of Maccabeus' pack and served on the Covenant cruiser Rapid Conversion. Ritul piloted a Dextro Xur-pattern Spirit. He was one of the Jiralhanae that was sent to the "reliquary" world Harvest in Maccabeus' attempt to recover the Oracle that was supposedly on the planet. He piloted the Spirit that carried Maccabeus, Vorenus and Licinus during the failed attempt to make peace with the humans.[1]
Later in the battle, he piloted a Spirit over Gladsheim, while Tartarus manned the ships weapons. He was killed when JOTUNs flew into his craft, forcing him to crash land the dropship. Tartarus barely made it out alive. Ritul was trapped in the cockpit and subsequently burned to death, though Tartarus did make an attempt to save his life. The Chieftain Maccabeus later felt regret for the young Jiralhanae's death, feeling Ritul's demise was his fault.[2]
