:UNSCMIDs and service numbers definitely deserve their own fields, but I'm not sure if we need one for civilian consultant IDs - as you said, we only know two of them and it seems unlikely we'll learn many more (ONI civilian consultants aren't that common after all) and as such the field would be pointless most of the time. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:01, 30 July 2011 (EDT)

Info boxes[edit]

Anyone think it would be a cool idea to have these in human or covenant userboxes:

"Usable weapons", for all the weapons said character CAN use. "Preffred weapons", for weapons they commonly spawn with. (i.e. Elties can use battle rifles, but they never spawn with them)

Then a Vehicle version of the above two.--Dojorkan 00:49, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Skin color[edit]

There should probably be a place for skin color in the infobox. That's a better description of the character's appearance than their hair. --Dragonclaws(talk) 06:12, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Background color[edit]

I believe the background color for the image spot should be #f0f0f0. Some characters have images with transparency, and the grey may make it hard to see. G35cpe 20:52, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

There is an alternative where you can just add another area to it as so:

So, yeah....- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 21:12, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
I never noticed that. Thank you. G35cpe 21:42, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Blood types[edit]

Should we not include blood type in the infobox?--The All-knowing Sith'ari 14:37, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

I see that this is a very old subject, though I've been thinking lately that blood type should be represented in this template. We know the blood types of dozens of characters, but it's such a minor detail that it's hardly even worth listing as trivia. So, should blood type be added to the template? --Courage never dies. 23:55, 3 June 2011 (EDT)

|Subclasses form[edit]

What is the |types= for in the character infobox? When filled out, the category is "subclasses". What exactly is this referencing? Thanks! --SPARTAN 528 02:49, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

|weight[edit]

Why isn't there a weight or mass section? --SPARTAN-125 Cally99117

We don't know enough individual character masses - I think it's just John. Weight is entirely out of the question because the series does not take place exclusively on Earth (weight relies on gravitational pull); again, we only know so many G-ratings for planets featured.-- Forerunner 09:40, 4 June 2011 (EDT)
The Essential Visual Guide lists the masses of about two dozen characters. Would adding a "mass" field to the template be worthwhile now? --Courage never dies. 14:49, 26 July 2011 (EDT)

Birth/Death/Homeworld field revision proposal[edit]

Instead of the "Date of birth" and "Date of death" fields and the separate "Homeworld" field we're currently using, I think we should adopt a more common and handy format used by most wikis. This would involve having "Born" and "Died" fields, in which both the time and place of the character's birth and death would be specified; a "homeworld" field wouldn't be needed at all. This format would allow adding both the birthplace and place of death alongside the dates, while currently, we only specify the home planet and the place of death is not mentioned at all.

This would also apply to all other infoboxes. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 03:16, 28 July 2011 (EDT)

Support.svg Support It is better. It shows the character's home world and date of birth on the same field. Location of death is also easier to find. —S331 Bubbleshieldhud.svg(When I played Halo: CE, we didn't have any fancy-shmancy armor abilities...) 06:59, 28 July 2011 (EDT)
Support.svg Support - I fully agree. --Courage never dies. 10:24, 30 July 2011 (EDT)
Support.svg Support - Aye.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 10:42, 30 July 2011 (EDT)

Service number and UNSCMID fields[edit]

Should the template have fields for service numbers and UNSCMIDs? We even have a field for blood type now, so listing these numbers shouldn't be a problem. Someone could also add a civilian consultant number field, though, as we only know Halsey's and Anders' - CC-409871 and CC-500493, respectively - this could fall under the service number field. --Courage never dies. 10:24, 30 July 2011 (EDT)

UNSCMIDs and service numbers definitely deserve their own fields, but I'm not sure if we need one for civilian consultant IDs - as you said, we only know two of them and it seems unlikely we'll learn many more (ONI civilian consultants aren't that common after all) and as such the field would be pointless most of the time. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:01, 30 July 2011 (EDT)
I understand. So, would it be prudent to simply list Halsey's and Anders's CCID's in the service number field? --Courage never dies. 11:03, 30 July 2011 (EDT)
Yeah. We could add "(civilian consultant ID)" after the number to distinguish it from a regular military service number. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:14, 30 July 2011 (EDT)
