If you watch the Halo: Reach E3 Campaign Demo, Operation:UPPERCUT seems to be above a Corvette - right at the end of the campaign demo you hear some unidentifued commander say, "Agreed. Sabre teams, clear a path to that corvette." Its either the Sabre teams are attacking a covie corvette or helping a damaged UNSC corvette - we shall see. XW3 AR3 L3GION 20:06, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

Branch of boarding troops

One thing that seems to be somewhat unresolved even to this day is the branch of the troops that board the corvette with Six. There's no definite answer either, but I thought some discussion would be in order anyways.

First, the BDUs of the troops in question are subtly different from both the Army and Marines in the game, possessing a blue-gray coloration with light gray armor plating. Interestingly, the pilot of the Falcon that crashes in Tip of the Spear is wearing a similar uniform, which implies they're likely to be of the same branch. Also, the boarders only consist of Sabre pilots and navigators, since no other ships land on the corvette. I can see Army-assigned pilots piloting Falcons or other craft, but space fighters? It's always a possibility though, but I would assume that highly classified and specialized craft such as the Sabres would either be managed by the Air Force or Navy. Which brings us to the possibility of them being Air Force. It's entirely possible, considering their uniforms' unique coloration. Then again, they could just be Marines with different uniforms.

Either way, some of our articles concerning them are somewhat contradictory at points, with one claiming them to be Marines and other saying they're Army, so I think clarification would be needed. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:38, 17 November 2010 (EST)

Either way it should be confirmed. Who was the Sabre programme under. UNSCAF or UNSCN? If it was Navy, those pilots are from the naval air arm and hence Naval personnel boarding the Ardent Prayer. --TrevelyanL85A2 01:20, 26 February 2011 (EST)

In the Spartan Field Manual, pages 136-138, the UNSC Air Force is outlined with pictures of the Sabre, and descriptions that match with Operation: UPPER CUT--The Ragin Pagan (talk) 14:42, April 9, 2023 (EDT)

Operation capitalisation?

What is the need to capitalise the names of Operations? It's not capitalised in game as Operation UPPERCUT, it's simply Uppercut. Why the need to capitalise directives like Winter Contingency and operations when it isn't the case?--TrevelyanL85A2 01:20, 26 February 2011 (EST)

Taking note of major, direct canon contradictions

All of the relevant Halo novels (and Halo 2) feature the orbital MAC platforms above Reach as major plot points and assets in the battle. This all becomes particularly bizarre when there isn't even a mention in Halo: Reach about the orbital MAC platforms being used to destroy the Covenant supercarrier, especially when both the novels and the games confirm that even one such orbital platform can make quick work of any Covenant capital ship, including a supercarrier. —This unsigned comment was made by 71.202.80.47 (talk • contribs). What canon contradiction is there? They used the orbital MAC Platforms to destroy the Corvette attacking SWORD Base. And you don't take out something that is as big as a city that would crush major population centers near said population centers. That is why they used a improvised slipspace bomb to destroy the Supercarrier. Haven't we had these discussions before? Please sign your comments by typing ~~~~.
