Holy crap, do any of you even know the current US Navy rank structure. They don't call their "Full Lieutenants" the name of "Lieutenant Senior Grade". Their known as "Lieutenants", yes, just Lieutenant. [[User:CommanderTony|CommanderTony]] 16:46, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Fact Or Fiction[edit]

This is speculation and should be deleted. Only ranks that have actually been mentioned in Halo should be used.--John117 01:52, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

John117, do you just go around calling established ranks speculation because it is fun? Lieutenant (Senior Grade) is an established rank used countless times throughout the books, normally to describe UNSC Navy personnel.--Rotaretilbo 17:27, 05 December 2006

Senior Grade or Full is just a way to establish its difference from Junior Grade, as Lieutenant can also be used as a disambiguous term to refer to anyone holding a rank involving Lieutenant. Similar to how Sergeant is used as a disambiguous term occassionally.--Rot] 20:56, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Color of Tabs[edit]

Why is the color silver when has been quoted as being, "but it is black enamel rather than silver." -- Esemono 01:36, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeah that's weird, its almost like he's making it up as he goes along! -- Yamanba 12:44, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

The colour of the insignia can change depending on the uniform the officer is wearing. In the U.S. black insignias are used on combat uniforms, silver on dress uniforms. It could very well be the same in the UNSC. -- Manticore 10:41, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
