| It is theorised these Elite warriors, who are below the rank of [[Elite Major]], as shown by the single Major who leads them. It is theorised that due to the protective value of the armor against kinetic and concussive blows they are specialised for using [[Orbital Insertion Pod]], the armor potentially increasing their chances of survival. The other theory is that the armor is used for anti Flood operations, as its properties would be useful against their close combat assaults and its sealed nature would protect them from flood spores.
