Tano 'Inanraree, was the Sangheili Shipmaster of the Covenant Varric-pattern heavy cruiser Incorruptible before that position was taken over by Voro 'Mantakree.

Biography[edit]

He was a highly regarded Commander and a mentor to those who served under him. During his distinguished career, he led seven campaigns against the various enemies of the Covenant. He also belonged to the Governors of Contrition, a controversial group that believed the Flood was a holy creation of the Forerunners: the perfect life form, one to be protected and even embraced.

During the Battle of Installation 05, 'Inanraree commanded his vessel when the Covenant Civil War began, and the Jiralhanae High Admiral Gargantum began attacking his ship. When 'Inanraree discovered that the Flood was loose on the surface of Installation 05, he had ordered his ship to land on the ringworld to allow the Flood's entry. His crew found this to be madness, but only one of them, Voro 'Mantakree, chose to express his feelings. Voro 'Mantakree subsequently killed him on the bridge of the ship by shooting him in the back of the head with a Type-33 Needler. A Mgalekgolo pair, Paruto Xida Konna and Waruna Xida Yotno, were meant to kill anyone who assassinated Tano, but refused to kill Voro, because they considered his killing of the Shipmaster to be a respectful mercy-killing. Voro 'Mantakree then ordered three Unggoy to take away his corpse and to let his blood remain on the floor of the control center, as a gesture of respect to his former mentor.[1]
