Why hasn't an electronic cigarette/cigar appeared once? By the 26th Century traditional tobacco cigarettes would've been replaced by electronic cigarettes. Tex the Spartan
:Electronic cigarettes need to be maintained, refilled and carried around by soldiers between uses. They also require you to maintain their power source. Traditional cigarettes are completely disposable and don't run out of batteries. ::Good point, although you'd think the UNSC wouldn't like paying for cloned lungs or the smoke from cigarettes giving ODSTs away. Or the fire hazard aboard a ship. True e-cigarettes do have batteries that need to be recharged post-depletion, but by 2500 one e-cigarette would probably be the equivalent of one, two, three packs of regular cigarettes tops. It'd save weight because they need only carry one around and as for refilling and recharging they could just do that whenever they, oh I don't no, aren't at risk of being shot at by Covenant back at base. Plus you'd think the UNSC would get the agricultural planets producing food instead of tobacco. And why would smoking an E-cigarette make you a douchebag? To me it says, "Smoker who likes to play it safe." Tex the Spartan
