| Sniper Jackals are extremely clever. They always wield [[Beam Rifle]]s and hide themselves out of sight, preferring to station themselves in open spaces to attack from long range. Their aim is very deadly, almost always connecting with a target. A single shot from a Jackal Sniper can kill a [[Spartan II]] with full energy shields on the Legendary difficulty. A Jackal sniper has superb eyesight, seeing enemies far off and quickly taking them out with their weapon. If an enemy gets too close to the Sniper Jackal, it will drop its rifle and pull out a [[Plasma Pistol]] sidearm. Without their shields, Sniper Jackals equipped with Plasma Pistols are much easier to kill.
