UNSC Astrophysics is a department of the UNSC High Command that deals exclusively with stellar phenomena. Whenever an anomaly is discovered and reported, details of it are sent to UNSC Astrophysics where the scientists study and review the reported data at their leisure to attempt to explain it.[1] Additionally, the department published an astrophysics journal. Fhajad-084 occasionally worked for UNSC Astrophysics after his discharge from the SPARTAN-II program, publishing at least one paper for the journal.[2]
UNSC Astrophysics also keeps observational databases that catalog all known phenomena. These databases are available to the public.[2]
