Halo: Empty Throne is an upcoming Halo novel by longtime franchise writer Jeremy Patenaude. It was announced at the Canon Fodder Live event at the Halo World Championship on October 13, 2023. Originally announced to be released on July 30, 2024, the book currently has a provisional release date of February 18, 2025.[1][3]
A preview of the novel was shown during the Canon Fodder live event at the Halo World Championship 2024 on October 4, 2024.[4] The novel is set in the late months of 2559 and early months of 2560, around the time of the start of Halo Infinite. The story will focus on new characters and explore what is happening in the rest of the galaxy away from the conflict on Installation 07.[5]
