UNSC Feeling Lucky was a Marathon-class heavy cruiser of the Fifth Fleet[3] that participated in the Battle for Earth on October 20, 2552. It was destroyed when the CAS-class assault carrier Day of Jubilation fired at it with its energy projector, moments before the Covenant ship was destroyed by an antimatter charge set off by John-117.[4]
Production note[edit]
The Feeling Lucky's destruction slightly differs in the Anniversary version of the cutscene "Return to Sender". In the original cutscene, the assault carrier's energy projector is already firing when the cruiser flies into it. In the remastered version, the cruiser passes over the seemingly-inert projector, until the assault carrier's beam fires and skewers it.
