UNSC Pillar of Autumn II is an Autumn-class heavy cruiser in service with the UNSC Navy and the lead ship of her class, commissioned into service as a replacement for the Marathon class after the end of the Human-Covenant War. She was named after the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, a Halcyon-class light cruiser which played a pivotal role in the events leading up to the conclusion of the war.[2] Like her predecessor, the Pillar of Autumn II is colloquially known as the "Autumn", thereby serving as her class' namesake.[9]
