Magtanggol is the name of a Mgalekgolo colony. "Angg" is the bond name shared between Magsanggalang and its bond brother, or mate, Magsanggalang. Magtanggol is known as a "swarmlord", giving it the title Swarmlord Magtanggol, which is how it appears in Warzone simulations when being put up against Spartan-IVs. It is equipped with Ultra-class armor and an assault cannon.[1]
Trivia[edit]
Magtanggol is named after a Tagalog word, like other Mgalekgolo in Halo 5: Guardians. Magtanggol is Tagalog for "to defend".[2]
