Operation: IRON FIST was an operation of the United Nations Space Command carried out in 2544. Following the attack on the human colony of Miridem by the Covenant that year, at least one Spartan-II super-soldier, John-117, was deployed to the planet with the dual goals of asset denial and partial recovery of critical cyberinfrastructure assets prior to its inevitable glassing.[1][2] IRON FIST was enacted immediately after the retrieval of Dr. Catherine Halsey by Blue Team as part of Operation: WARM BLANKET, who had been kidnapped on the planet by the Third Fleet of Glorious Consequence.
