Veer was a Sangheili Zealot who served under Thel 'Vadamee in 2535.[1]
Biography[edit]
Veer was personally handpicked by Thel 'Vadamee to accompany him on a raid against the UNSC destroyer Do You Feel Lucky? during the Battle of Charybdis IX. Following the Covenant victory, the Prophet of Regret assigned Thel's ship and a Jiralhanae-Kig-yar vessel to the 23 Librae system to investigate smuggled, illegally modified Okarda'phaa-pattern plasma rifles designed for human use. When the two Covenant ships arrived in the system, the Jiralhanae betrayed Thel and destroyed his warship, Retribution's Thunder. Veer, along with the rest of the bridge crew, was knocked unconscious and captured.
Veer and the rest were placed in a human prison cell, but managed to create a makeshift spear and kill the Unggoy guard before escaping. They then proceeded to commandeer a Kig-yar shuttle. While Zhar, Saal, and Thel descended to Metisette to kidnap Reth, the Kig-yar leader, Veer was ordered to remain onboard and to command the captured shuttle.
His actions following the capture of Reth are unknown. It is likely, however, that the Prophets spared him upon his return to High Charity, just as they had spared Thel.
Trivia[edit]
Veer had a habit for creating war poems, and frequently observed his environments, even in combat situations, to do so.
