Transcript[edit]

  • Unknown: Umm.
  • Unknown: Um.
  • CJ Markham: Well, I’ll be lying if I said I didn’t come here for Halo.
  • Neill Harrison: We’re the only studio in the world trying to do something quite as crazy as what we’re trying to do, in that we’ve brought all these people from around the world who had never worked together before. Put them all together in one giant room and give them one of the world’s biggest gaming franchises and told them to go make it. And I guess I kinda heard about that, I thought that’s crazy, I want to be part of it.
  • Bonnie Ross: For me, it’s all about the ending of Halo 3.I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the fate of Master Chief.
  • Joe Waters: Everybody here likes Halo. A lot of people like it a lot.
  • Tom French: I remember taking two days out of work to play Halo 1.
  • Josh Holmes: The idea of being able to play a part in defining the future of the Halo universe was exciting, and terrifying at the same time.
  • Maggie Oh: I came from Future Animations, so to move to games seem to be the perfect fit.
  • Neill Harrison: Everyone comes here from successful careers somewhere else.
  • Sotaro Tojima: When I talked to the art director, Kenneth Scott, I asked him why I would work here, and he immediately answered : for the team.
  • Kenneth Scott: As exciting as the Halo universe can be for someone who’s a big fan of monsters, big fan of science fiction, big fan of FPSs, it was really people that I got excited about working with.
  • Kynan Pearson: I love Halo, I always wanted to work on it, but to be honest, like, whenever I found out the sparkles working here, I was in.
  • Nicolas Bouvier: It’s a fact that sci-fi is close to being a way of life to a certain degree, but I didn’t need much time to actually say yes.
  • Sotaro Tojima: Our job is not the same as previous Halo.
  • R.J. Ranola: They let us explore, they are very open to suggestions.
  • Kenneth Scott: We really built a team that I want to work with for the rest of my life.
  • Vic DeLeon: Best team I’ve ever worked with.
  • Kathy Gehrig: So, for me, one of the biggest reasons to come to 343 was that I could work on a video game my parents had actually heard of.
  • Frank O'Connor: I love Halo and I love the stories and the world we’ve built and I think with all the new technology and techniques that we have at our disposal, I think we have a great opportunity to tell really good stories and really dramatically improve the way to Halo 4.
  • Patrick Gillette: You know how hard you would judge someone else in the same situation and so you kinda go “okay”.
  • Tom French: It just inspires me to do bigger and better things.
  • Lani Blazier: It’s a little surreal at first, and it’s definitely scary, ‘cause it’s like “no pressure or anything” !
  • Nicole Makila: There’s definitely a requirement to hit the ground running.
  • Hoop Somuah: It’s a challenge. It’s an exciting challenge.
  • Joe Waters: We’re getting there. More to do, but we’re getting there.
  • Armando Troisi: It’s like being part of NASA, launching a rocket to the moon.
  • CJ Markham: Moving forward, people won’t come here just to work on Halo, they will come to work for 343.
  • Neill Harrison: We’re working very hard to finish Halo 4, but on longer term, we have inspirations to because the best game studio in the world, and I think that is essentially what we’re constantly working toward and aiming toward. I think that’s what drives all of us to our success.
