New Kona was a city on the human colony of Eirene. At some point during the Human-Covenant War prior to 2537, SPARTAN-II Kelly-087 single-handedly saved the city during an operation that destroyed a Covenant forward operating base. The city was likely later destroyed when the Covenant glassed the planet.[1]
Trivia[edit]
The city may be named after the district of Kona in Hawaii.
