Colonel Barry Bizzell was a human military officer mentioned in a draft version of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn page in Halo: Warfleet – An Illustrated Guide to the Spacecraft of Halo.[1] He was said to be the commanding officer of the 3rd Battalion 67th Marines.[1] Under his veteran leadership, the battalion would have accompanied the Spartans and ODSTs on the Pillar of Autumn and would have been successful in preventing the Covenant from gaining control of Installation 04, before being overwhelmed and consumed by the Flood.[1]

Trivia[edit]

Colonel Barry Bizzell is the name of a retired United States Marine Corps officer, who was the commandant of cadets at St. Catherine's Academy as of 2019.[2] As the name of an actual, living individual, "Barry Bizzell" may have been used as a placeholder. Ultimately, Col. Bizzell, and the battalion he was said to have commanded, were cut from the final published version of Halo: Warfleet.
