After checking on the ship's life support systems, engines and reactor, Maldini proceeded to inspect Cryo-bay Foxtrot 7. As Maldini completed and logged her inspection, she was attacked by a stowaway Pod infector and was overtaken by the parasite. Serina, having begun the early stages of rampancy, failed to take full measures and instead locked the resultant combat form in the cryo-bay for study.
