T'vao is an asteroid in the Y'Deio system and a Kig-Yar colony.[1][2] The T'vaoans, known to humans as Skirmishers, can trace their ancestry there. T'vao's environmental conditions are harsher than those on the Kig-Yar homeworld Eayn, including a higher gravity and more dramatic atmospheric shifts. These factors have led to the T'vaoans experiencing a considerable divergent evolution from the two other major subtypes of Kig-Yar.[3] Male Kig-Yar from T'vao have much heavier upper body plumage than other Kig-Yar, while females from T'vao have a ruff of feathers on their heads and necks instead of scales. Myur City is located on the asteroid.[1]
