The Joyride Series 1 was made by Joyride Studios. This series was released around August 2003. This series was the first series to base the characters and objects from Halo: Combat Evolved.[1]

Sets[edit]

Master Chief[edit]

The Master Chief Version 1 action figure is based off the Master Chief in Halo: Combat Evolved. It features 14 points of articulation and is armed with an M6D Pistol, MA5B Assault Rifle, and S2 AM Sniper Rifle.

Cortana[edit]

The Cortana action figure is based of the AI, Cortana. Unlike most other figures, the Cortana figure has no points of articulation or accessories. Instead, it features a base that can light up when its button is pressed, causing the entire figure to appear to light up.

Warthog[edit]

The Warthog Version 1 action figure is based off the M12 Light Reconnaissance Vehicle. It features 5 points of articulation has a swiveling turret and rotating tires. It also includes a "mini" Master Chief figure and a "mini" Marine, both of which can be placed in the driver, passenger, or turret. In addition, there are two "mini" Assault Rifles that the other mini figures can use.

Labeling[edit]

On each action figure unit, Joyride has included a serial number, which allows you to find out when the action figure was created. The date code has four numbers followed by 'SS' actually stamped or embossed in the cardboard. The first three digits are the date the product was made, and the fourth digit is the year. For example: 2653SS means the product was manufactured on the 265th day of 2003 (9/23/2003).[2]
