The Cordoba system is a planetary system located within the human sphere in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way galaxy. It is part of the Isbanola sector and contains the human Outer Colony planet, Gao.[1] The system's star, Cordoba, is an orange star[2] and was known as Coro by the Forerunners.[3] The system is located 8.7 light-years from the Shaps system,[4] and is in relative proximity to the Orso system. Following the Human-Covenant War, by 2557, the Via Casilina Trade Route had arisen between the Orso, Cordoba, Shaps, Elduros, and Sverdlovsk systems.[5]
