Axis Studios, formerly Axis Animation, was an award-winning visual effects, animation and design studio. Founded in 2000, the company produced visual effects for video games, films, television, commercials, and online entertainment.[1]

Axis was selected by Microsoft to develop the cutscenes for Spartan Ops, the Halo Xbox One announcement trailer, and the Halo 5: Guardians CG cinematics.[2][3] The studio also produced the opening cutscene to Halo Infinite's campaign, followed by two more cinematics for Halo Infinite's multiplayer Seasons 1 and 3.[4][5][6]

On July 16, 2024, Axis Studios ceased all production and went into administration; 162 of the 166 staff members were made redundant, with remaining staff members seeking parties to take over live projects.[7]
