I just notice Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Korean on holo-signs in one of the tunnels and I may have heard some in the background as the youtuber walked his Mantis through said tunnel on this map, in this video after 14:00: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6W5OaavH98. Does this suggest that some of Alluvion's colonists are of Asian descent? - EpicZealot1239, 4:55:05 PM, July 9th, 2015.
- Here are my two cents.
- 1. Those are Chinese letters. While their origin is indeed Chinese, they're used by most Asian countries carrying the same meanings (but different pronounciations per country).
- 2. It is possible. Like most real-life Asian countries nowadays, the holosigns show both Asian letters and English (since most of the UNSC speak English, by logic the colonists would have to be bilingual). Yoonhyuk-740 7:43PM EST, July 9th, 2015.
