I think someone (possibly IsoDidact) stuck some DNA in some human and then the DNA split and went through generations to John-117. 343 GS talks to him as if he is the IsoDidact, and Cortana and Gravemind continually mention that he was special before the other Spartans died.

Distant Relation?[edit]

N'chala? I wonder if that's an ancestor of T'challa, the Black Panther from Marvel Comics.

Another Possible ( Relevant) Relation?[edit]

I belive N'chala is an ancestor of the Master Chief. I belive this because in the comic, it shows him watching the forunners building what is speculated to be the ark, at the beginning of human history. In the Halo 3 trailer it shows the Master Chief looking at the same structure, but at the "end" of human history. N'chala is a respected elder, but Master Chief is respected as a fiersome warrior. What do you think?--Ryan926 00:58, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

N'chala is ancient. He could very well be the ancestor of everyone we know in the Haloverse. --Dragonclaws(talk) 01:08, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

N'chala would have died with the firing of the Halo's and therefore can not be the ancestor to anyone in the Haloverse, unless they were taken and archived. Though it is odd they didn't take him and his tribe since they were desperate for as many human's as they could get. TLLorax (talk) 21:22, 17 April 2013 (EDT)

The Librarian states that the construction of the portal will go on after the array has fired, and after humans have returned. So he may be post-activation. ProphetofTruth (talk) 23:41, 17 April 2013 (EDT)

True, I forgot that part. So I guess N'chala could be his ancestor. TLLorax (talk) 01:11, 18 April 2013 (EDT)

Name - Arabic Reference?[edit]

N'chala is pronounced highly similarly to the Arabic phrase "Inch Allah", which roughly translates to "God Willing".
