Tabs unnecessary[edit]

Splitting them into parts (using tabs) is useless since the final content is one single 90-minute film. I suggest moving back to the previous format. That or we stop transcribing and just place the videos, just like how I did with the videos for Halo 2 Collector's Edition if the transcript is "ridiculously long".— subtank 10:57, 18 October 2012 (EDT)

The page is already long with just one transcript, just imagine how much longer it will be when we have the full 90 minutes as opposed to the 15-20 we have right now. I would be more in favor of your video suggestion.--Spartacus 11:02, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
If someone still feels that this is necessary, put the entire script in a .txt file or a .pdf file and we'll put the download link in the main page. — subtank 11:06, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
Oops, default sig there. Lets just do that then, but I'm not an image guru, so how would I do that if I was able to?--Spartacus TalkContribs 11:14, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
Microsoft Word or LibreOffice should come with a PDFCreator (located under the file drop-down menu) or at least the ability to export the document as PDF.— subtank 11:46, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
The pdf file idea sounds great, but that would mean editors need to get the original word file if they want to edit one single word. But before anyone makes a pdf file, I would suggest we finish all the transcripts here on this page first, and then those who wants to put the transcripts in a pdf file can have a general template to start with, then they place the file link here.—S331 Bubbleshieldhud.svg(COMMission LogProfile) 12:17, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
I figured this would be the case when I finished Part I, I think the video option would be best, but that's my opinion.Col. Snipes450 12:20, 18 October 2012 (EDT)

Sounds good to me.Col. Snipes450 13:40, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
Sounds about right. I'm also somewhat against the PDF idea, because separate files are far more unwieldy than direct editing on the wiki. As for the video option, I think the whole point of a transcript is to provide a reference document for people who might not have access to the videos for whatever reason, or simply need to check out a quote really quick without painstakingly searching for the right time stamp on a video. That, and I don't really see a problem with using the episodic division on the transcript page even after the whole thing is released as one continuous film - the episodic format is a genuine alternate way of presenting the film, and it provides a convenient and natural way to divide the transcript into serviceable bits and prevents the article from becoming too massive. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 14:18, 18 October 2012 (EDT)
