Jiralhanae Warrior
The two variations of the Jiralhanae Warrior.

Function:

Infantry

Species:

Jiralhanae

Affiliation:

Banished

Branch:

Jiralhanae clans

The Jiralhanae Warrior is a standard Jiralhanae infantry type employed by the Banished usually denoted by their blue or purple armor.[1]

OverviewEdit

Roles and responsibilitiesEdit

Often young and inexperienced, warriors are the most common of all Jiralhanae infantry in the Banished. They are outfitted with standard body armor and basic weapons, and must prove themselves in battle in order to climb the ranks. The majority of warriors remain in this role for the entirety of their service to the Banished and often end up dying on the frontlines.[1] Warriors who manage to prove themselves on the battlefield may be granted the title of Chosen Warrior, who are granted extended authority and jurisdiction.[2]

OrganizationEdit

Some warriors are given command over other species (such as the Unggoy and Kig-Yar) in order to demonstrate their ability to lead. Other warriors may be given specialized roles, such as thrust-assisted jumpers or high-explosive grenadiers. These specialized warriors are monitored closely by a seasoned captain.[1]

In-game informationEdit

Blue-armored warriors primarily make use of the Erudo'ma'keth-pattern pulse carbine and the Mangler, while purple-armored warriors typically use the CQS48 Bulldog and the VK78 Commando. All warrior variants carry Jovokada Workshop spike grenades. Like other enemies in Halo Infinite, Jiralhanae warriors may trade their starting weapons for more powerful ones they come across on the battlefield. Occasionally, warriors will go berserk during combat. The purple warriors armed with the Bulldog are also equipped with personal energy shields. If grappled by an upgraded grappleshot, shielded warriors will not be electrocuted. They will instead typically assume a defensive posture and freeze themselves in place for several seconds (essentially the same effect). In some cases, however, a shielded warrior will continue moving and firing even while grappled.

Warriors will commonly drive Ghosts, Choppers, and Wraiths.

Production notesEdit

In Halo Infinite's Forge, shielded variants of Jiralhanae are distinguished from their unshielded counterparts by being labelled as "Chosen". Subsequently, the unshielded variant of the Jiralhanae Chosen Warrior—which never appears in campaign—is erroneously called "Brute Warrior" to match its shielded variant being called "Brute Warrior, Chosen". Instead, the blue and purple variants of the actual Jiralhanae Warriors are called "Brute Minor" and "Brute Commando", respectively. The Forge menu also mislabelled Jiralhanae Warlord Chieftains as "Brute Chieftain, Chosen".
